If your mouth is dry, it means you are breathing through your mouth, not your nose. That usually happens when a person cannot get adequate air movement through their nasal passages. Possible causes: hay fever, other allergies (?pet), nasal polyps, deviated septum. A sore throat can be caused by the dryness, or by drainage. Drainage can be caused again by allergies or hay fever. A Dr. would have to diagnose polyps or nasal-septal deviation. If you feel you have allergies, you can use over the counter antihistamines. Breath-right strips can open up the nasal passages somewhat, but some people react to the adhesive on their skin. Another simple remedy for snoring is to roll your pillow more under your neck so you tip your head back more. The dry mouth or drainage are many times accompanied by less than desirable breath. If you have someone you sleep with, you can ask them, otherwise you may want to gargle. This can also help a sore throat.

You could try a product called Slumber Guard – it works for me – but if it doesn’t do the trick then I reckon that you should see a doctor
Snoring could be of two types. In general little sound generated while breathing could be due to some factors like temporary blocking of air passing through the nose because of mucus deposition or some other facotors like shape of mouth and jaw-line.
But if the snoring is getting louder and is quite noticeable then it is an alarm for you to pay immediate attention. It has a strong possibility that you are suffering from sleep apnea. In your condition it is more of this type. The upper airway gets blocked and you try breathing through open mouth. While sleeping the mechanism of normal breathing is not working properly and as a result snoring occurs.
There are few urgent steps that you must take with immediate effect as this is a deadly in nature. Loud snoring is closely related with heart problems and this has been established by research based evidences.
First of all you must introduce significant changes in your lifestyle. If it comes out to be sedentary then you need to ocerhaul. You must reduce weight if it is more. You should also sleep onsides preferably. Immediately before going to the bed you must clean your nose and throat properly.
Recently a research has come out with a nice idea that you may try.It says that you may eat banana after brushing your teeth in the night. It helps keep throat and mouth balanced.
But above all, you must consult a good sleep specialist and get yourself diagnosed if you are having a sleep apnea or not.An advised treatment is the best option in your case.
But please do not ignore medical advise.
