I am asking about my husband, who refuses to ask his doctor.

Make an appointment for him. Then tell him you’re going out to dinner, and drive him there. Then actually do take him out to dinner.
Alternately: see if your health provider has a nurse hotline you could call and ask. Or, call and ask his doctor on his behalf.

obstructive sleep apnea. He would benifit from a sleep study.
