Snoring is caused by the relaxation of the back of your soft palate close to the throat. Air moves over this area and causes it to vibrate which produces the sound we know as snoring. There are some over the counter remedies for snoring but most people will snore at one point or another in their lives. Most of the time snoring is a harmless phenomenon. Sometimes it can be a harbinger of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea occurs when a person stops breathing during sleep because of air being blocked by excess tissue in the throat. This is much more common in older people, especially men and those who are overweight. If you’re worried about your snoring talk to your parents and have them take you to your doctor for advice.
Snoring happens when your respiratory structures vibrate, thus resulting in a sound due to obstructed air movement during breathing while sleeping.
To stop snoring, you can try sleeping on your side or changing your position when you sleep.
Snoring is much more common in people who are overweight. If this might be the case with you then you need to think about getting into shape. Sorry, but you did ask?
