I’m 14 and I snore…. It’s kinda embarrassing because I don’t think many guys my age do.
And I also sleep with my mouth open (probably what causes the snoring) Do you know any thing that can help?
Lol it’s gross waking up and your mouth is all dry.

Sounds like you may also still have your tonsils. I would suggest you see a doctor to evaluate why you are snoring. Snoring occurs when air flows past relaxed tissues in your throat, causing the tissues to vibrate as you breathe, which creates those irritating sounds. Sometimes snoring may indicate a serious health condition. If you are waking or are waking others from your snoring or if you find yourself waking up – gasping, this can be a sign of sleep apnea (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sleep-apnea/DS00148). Young adults can have obstructive sleep apnea But, nose and throat problems — such as enlarged tonsils — and obesity often underlie habitual snoring in young adults. Treating these conditions will help you sleep better and those around you.
Snoring isn’t a laughing matter and generally doesn’t go away.
That’s very common.
If you have a nasal obstruction or congestion, treating that will help.
Be sure to brush and floss before you go to bed, or you’ll have terrible tooth decay.
Hi, no, it is not normal for a 14 year old or a person of any age to snore. There is a tube through which out body is getting air and for whatever reason this tube is being pressured and the air flow is being restricted. When this happens the person snores.
So what you need to do is find the reason why you are snoring. Snoring is just your body telling you that there is something wrong happening in your body.
If you are overweight then this part is what you need to fix. When people gain weight the fat tissue in the throat pressures the air passage tube and so the air has troubles to pass through.
There are many other reasons why someone could be snoring. What you can do is read about it, here are all my snoring related articles http://sleepdisorders.dolyan.com/category/snoring and you can and should go see a doctor to help you pinpoint the cause behind your snoring.
Fix the cause and the snoring will disappear. I promise you.
