Never worked on my hubby. We tried everything short of surgery and finally now we sleep in different bedrooms and voile….no more complaints.
The best think you can do for yourself is get some ear plugs. Mack’s Earplugs (silicone putty) are available at WalMart for about $3 for a dozen plugs. Divide each plug in half and insert "flat" into ear passage. Excellent and comfy. Change every week.
They really do work great unless your sister is a beluga whale type snorer and you’re sleeping right next to one another.
bucket of cold water
you can buy strips from the chemsit advertised on the tv that supposed to help
I just kick my hubby ot of bed- hes that bad!!!
Stay awake!
That depends why she snores. People are more likely to snore if they sleep on their back or if they are overweight. If neither of these are the cause, she should see her doctor.
lavender oil!! buy some, and put a drop on the opposite side of your pillow, it’ll soothe you and you’ll fall into a deep sleep, without the annoying snore.
i don’t no i apparently snore
weight can play a part
or get her to the doc’s, she may have ’sleep apnoea’
with great difficulty
Get a Slumber Guard..
It worked for me.
how long has your sister been snoring for? if it’s been a long time, it may be because of her positioning – she either needs to try to sleep in a different position, e.g. switch sides at night or as soon as she starts have somebody roll her over or wake her up – eventually her brain will get the message and stop snoring,
or it may be because…hmm, i don’t know the technical scientific phrasing but…there’s something about the way that some people’s noses are – so some people have a mild surgery to get it fixed, but i wouldn’t do that…there are these strips you can buy – i think they’re reusable but disposable, and you just put them towards the end of your nose… they hope open the nose up so you dont snore
or she may be tensed if this is a new thing so if she deals with that somehow, it ought to stop on its own
tc
Tell your sister to either:
1) Cut back a bit on the night-time boozing
OR
2) Try a bit more exercise during the day
OR
3) Go to the local chemist and buy some nasal strips
OR
4) And this one really works, sew a tennis ball in the back panel of her pyjamas/nightie/whatever.
You see with the tennis ball sewn into position, she won’t be able to sleep on her back. Therefore, she’ll either sleep on her front or side and the snoring will stop.
Sounds crazy but it works.
