Does not snoring cure sleep apnea?

If you buy a mouthpeice or something to stop your snoring, does it cure your sleep apnea? And if you plan to get one of those, is it recommended to see a doctor? And does sleeping on your side really help?

There are some Dental Devices that can help you with snoring and sleep apnea. These devices are preferred by some people who can’t tolerate CPAP therapy or doesn’t have the money.

-A dental device or sleep apnea oral appliance is used to relieve upper airway obstruction and snoring by modifying the position of the mandible and tongue.
-An oral appliance also prevents the tongue from blocking the airway passages.
There are two types of sleep apnea dental device: mandibular advancement appliances (By repositioning the lower jaw and tongue, the oral appliance keeps airways open and prevents the appearance of snoring and apnea events) and tongue retaining devices (his device reposition the tongue in an anterior position).
Now you know there are alternative treatments to sleep apnea. You should consult your doctor about this.

Well….snoring happens when your air way is partially blocked by the relaxed throat tissues. (Think how your jaw will gap open sometimes when you sleep…same thing happens in your throat).
Apnea (which literally means "without breath") is the conditions where your air way is totally blocked and you stop breathing for any length of time.
It is possible to "cure" your apnea if you are able to keep your airway open with a mouth guard, but I would highly suggest seeing your physician or sleep clinic.

Sleeping on your side and stomach both help a lot, but there are other cheap and natural home remedies to cure your snoring problem
