lol, I apparently snore as well. But my husband says I snort, kinda like I start to but then I don’t. He thinks it’s kinda cute lol
I’ve heard it’s normal. Something about the membranes in your nose softening up (any mucous membrane in your body softens when you get near delivery. Weird science fact.)
Most of the time it goes away after pregnancy. After my daughter was born I went back to normal silence, and when I get pregnant again, out came the snorts lol.

Not me, but I can say for sure that my husband’s snoring is ALOT worse – at least it seems that way!
That wonderful pregnancy hormone progesterone – the same one that softens your ligaments (pelvis pain!) and slows up your bowels (constipation!) – also softens up the lining of your nose/sinuses and can cause you to get a stuffy nose and /or start snoring. Sorry, it’s yet another of the pregnancy symptoms they don’t tell us about before we get too far in!
there are strips you can attach to your nose – called breathe right (or something similar) that can open up your nasal passages and help stop you snoring. Some people swear by them. I tried them at around 30ish weeks (when my nose was permanently blocked) and found that actually they dried out my nose/throat overnight, and i didn’t really like them at the time. Having said that, although my nose is no longer blocked, i’m also snoring now(38 weeks), and having heard the good word spread by other pregnant lasses, i’m going to try them again tonight to see if they help….
My wife started snoring quite a bit in the third trimester. I believe it is the progesterone hormone that relaxes certain muscles which result in snoring. It happens during pregnancy.
Actually, my wife’s snoring was so extreme that she would actually stop breathing for few seconds between snoring. Given the pregnancy and baby’s need for oxygen, i had to coax her into getting a sleep test. She was diagnosed with sleep apnea and she had to wear the mask with CPAP machine for the balance of the pregnancy. So, you may ask your husband to check whether you stop breathing for a few seconds between the snoring. Snoring by itself isn’t a big deal.
Also, after the baby was delivery, the snoring (and the CPAP machine) went away almost immediately. Baby was perfectly fine.
Good luck.
lol
i never snored either, but when i was preg i started snoring.
and was very disturb by it. unfortunatly, i dont remember what my doc answered when asked what caused it. i just remember him telling me, that it was normal, and it would go away. it has something to do with the growing baby pushing on something ( the part i dont remember)
the week i gave birth , it went away. and never snored since.
please dont worry about it… i did.. and shouldnt have. i was worried about too many things and now it seems all funny to me
=)
even the first week i
