In the last 2 weeks I hear snoring noises while my 1.5 years old is breathing. This is happening only at the morning and usually after eating yogurt. I can hear snoring noises only for 20-25 minutes and then noise goes away. During this period of time she can’t talk loud, she just whispers. What could be the reason for those noises? I will get her to a doctor in few days, but was wondering is it something serious?

I am writing this without any sleep in the last 24hrs.
Basically she snores like a shire horse……. yep that bad. Even nudging her to turn onto her side doesn’t make any difference.
I love her to bits & i don’t want to lose her because of this. This has been going on far too long now & i’m at my wits end.
Does anyone have any ideas ?

My 3 year old has a very loud breathing whilst asleep, which ppl wud describe it as snoring but i know he does’nt snore. This started eva since he was 1 and a half where problem all begun. It was much worse at that time, his breathing level was so loud that if sat in a room quiet u can hear him clearly from a long long distance. Now i "believe" its shown improvements whr his breathing is loud only at nights.
Yes I av seen the doctors bout it and they tell me he has two lumps in his throat which is common for a child and does dissapear when he’s grown up…. but how does that explain his heavy breathing??? and i av NEVER ever notticed this in my family or in any child. I’ve been to see a specialist in which she came up with nothin but rubbish information which dint even answer the question i raised in other words she was as confused as i was.My father tells me its normal infact most of the public around me tell me its "normal" but my mother instincts tells me sumthin is not right and maybe m wasting time thinkin rather than doin but whom shud i turn to? my GP will say i’ve done my bit the specialist will say u got ur answer, i searched the net too and cud’nt cum up with any end results to wot is causing him to breath heavy.
Can any one from here pls assure me that everythin is fine.or wether they’v notticed sumthin like this in thr child or anyone they know which is again normal in a child.Another thing i cant afford to see a private doctor so its really no use to suggest that.

I have one to help with not grinding my teeth but will it keep my husband from snoring? I have read all about apnea but I want to hear from people who have had success with mouth guards. THX

I’ve tried a lot! Sleeping on my side, tennis ball in pyjamas, throat spray, magnetic nose ring, those plastic moulds that go in your mouth etc etc.

My husband is a former smoker (he hasn’t had a ciggie in 5 months) and he is chronically stuffy. He snores incredibly loudly, and it keeps me from falling asleep – and being a stay-home mom to a 2yr old boy, sleep is a necessity. I hit him, tell him to "shh!", roll him over (which isn’t easy since he’s overweight), kick him…none of it helps for longer than two minutes. What products have helped for anyone out there with the same problem?

My roommate complained that I started snoring for the past few weeks and showed me a video clip of me sleeping. In the clip I was inhaling very deeply, making a quite audible sound. However, I wasn’t making the typical fluttering sound people produce when they snore and my mouth was closed. So technically I wasn’t snoring, right? Can anyone tell me the possible causes and solutions to it? Can it be a more serious medical condition?
