I seen one on TV that they insert 5 stitches into the top soft pallet to help reduce the vibrations and noise of snoring. What is that procedure called?
What other surgeries are there? My hubby keeps me up ALL night! Sounds like a chain saw. We’ve tried everything over the counter. We need help… I NEED HELP!

I don’t sleep that much, but when I’m awake I hear his snoring and it pisses me off. I want to take a baseball bat to his loft and wake him up, but I don’t want to break his bed [i'm really not that angry].
So what do I do [other than leave the room]?
Like it’s ok when people snore, but his snoring is ridiculous, it almost sounds unhealthy.

Does being overweight is a cause of snoring? How can I stop snoring? I know laying on my stomach or side may help. Will losing weight help also. I notice I am snoring more as I get older.

One of the main channels carried it but I was too tired to stay up to watch. What did they say? The preview showed a man in like a dentist chair and a procedure being done. I need to have my husband look into this big time!

I’ve recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea by a sleep clinic, and they’ve recommended that I start CPAP treatment. I’m extremely uncomfortable with this diagnosis because I didn’t GO to the sleep clinic for apnea–I was having trouble with snoring. In fact, in all our years of marriage, my wife says she has NEVER heard me stop breathing. I understand that it is just about impossible to snore while using a CPAP, but it also seems like a fairly serious solution for a relatively minor problem. In other words, I recognize that this treatment will WORK for me, but it seems like the cure is worse than the disease.
I’m getting the impression that these sleep pulmonologists might not be exactly the brightest kids right out of medical school. Does anyone know if this is a real treatment for snoring?
