My partner snores every night. I’ve been reading some of the questions about snoring on here to find ways of dealing with it, but they’ve left me quite worried as a lot of nurses etc have said snoring can be a sign of something more serious??
He’s only 30 and in good health, non-smoker, a healthy weight etc. It seems worse (& certainly louder!!) when he’s sleeping on his back. And he often says he wakes up with a sore throat as if he’s been snoring all night (and I’m like "yes… you were") lol.
what could be causing it & do we have reason to be worried? Any nurses out there?
Many thanks
Oh and after reading some of the oteh snoring questions on here I looked up sleep apnoea on Wikipedia, I don’t think it’s that as he doesn’t seem to stop breathing he just breathes VERY LOUDLY lol…

Also, what are the harmful side effects of snoring? Intuition tells me this has to be bad for your throat, mouth, nasal passage, etc.

I just started snoring loudly. I have always snored some, but now it is to the point where I have to sleep alone. It just started less than a week ago. Out of nowhere. I would love to know what caused it and better yet, I would love to know how to make it go away.
